Recently, Sam Oropeza and I had the opportunity to visit the highway patrol union and surprise them with dinner. We were also joined by Officer Brian Hilbert, one of the officers who played a crucial role in saving my life. Without him, I wouldn't be here today.
During the dinner, we discussed the importance of appreciation for the police and ways in which we can improve relations between the community and law enforcement. The officers emphasized the value of open dialogue and effective communication. They even mentioned a desire to engage with neighbors through further discussions.
As Sam always says, "We need to put people first! Every neighborhood, every block." Let's work together to make a positive impact in our communities.
